Himachal Pradesh is a state of India that resides in the lap of gods, mountains, and Himalayas. The people of Himachal Pradesh are called Pahari. Himachalis are usually simple people. And the most commonly spoken language of the Himachali people is Hindi and Pahari. The whole state is punctuated with stone as well wooden temples. Himachal Pradesh has beautiful temples built with marvelous architecture. The hottest place in Himachal Pradesh is Chamba and the coldest place in Himachal Pradesh is Lahaul and Spiti. Himachal Pradesh is also known as heaven because of its heartwarming views. The main occupation of the people of Himachal Pradesh is Agriculture and has an important place in the economy of the state. The peoples of Himachal Pradesh are very sensitive and hardworking. Most of the farmers work daily in the fields to earn money. The main and famous fruit of Himachal Pradesh is Apple. “The snow leopard” is the state animal of Himachal Pradesh, “Deodar cedar” is the state tree of Himachal Pradesh, and “The Bird Jujurana” is the state bird of Himachal Pradesh.
Manali
Manali is famous for being India’s honeymoon capital. It is situated between the snow-capped slopes of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges and offers stunning views of lush green forests, green meadows, and meandering blue streams. Apart from adventure activities and vibrant places, Manali is also home to various ancient temples such as Hidimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht, etc. Although, only religious people would like to go there the place is also known for its secludedness.
Shimla
Shimla is the capital of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan foothills. Once the summer capital of British India, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed in 1903. It’s also known for the handicraft shops that line The Mall, a pedestrian avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar, a market specializing in wooden toys and crafts.
Shimla is stunningly beautiful and is surrounded by grandiose, snow-covered Himalayan peaks and lush green pastures. Shimla has beautiful weather through the year and has a lot of places which have resplendent natural magnificence. Shimla was built on top of seven hills: Inverarm Hill, Observatory Hill, Prospect Hill, Summer Hill, Bantony Hill, Elysium Hill and Jakhu Hill. The highest point in Shimla is the Jakhu hill, which is at a height of 2,454 metres (8,051 ft). In recent times the city has spread past the initial seven hills.
